So in essence,

Meta basically acquired Scale in all but name. Which is what they wanted from the beginning.

They stayed under 50% to dodge regulators. They moved the founder in-house to capture the brain trust. And they didn't care when clients jumped ship because those clients were never the prize to begin with. It was about infrastructure control. And no regulations can stop it because technically, they went by the book.
