Pattern recognition trained on human bias in hiring is going to mirror those hiring patterns. Question is who exactly do you expect is going to be holding them accountable?

Their clients are best positioned to hold them accountable (especially the ones who get caught up in the backlash). On par would be the media scrutiny from investigative reporting. Regulations and legislation will help, but businesses tend to respond to things that affect their perception (media) and their bottom line (clients).
